I've been playing with computer and graphics since my before high school, there I maintain GEGL, GIMPs next generation graphics engine. GEGL uses babl based on code originating in gggl a full buffers compositor. For teaching an image processing, I created gluas and small introductory curriculum of lua image processing examples.
